H-hello? It’s been more than a year since I posted something, wow. I actually drafted 2 long posts but life is cruel and my motivation is non-existent. Hence, I’m back with something I promised my friend and with second season starting, why not publish here as well?
Greetings peeps!! I know I haven’t been around; the life is beating the shit outta me… I finished my first year in PhD and things have been so hectic with classes, new home, new university, assistant-ship and all that jazz. I want to get back to writing because I haven’t been able to focus on anything other than the bare minimum obligations (sometimes even failing to deliver that) so I decided to take it easy.
When a new season starts, I definitely check the first episode of every anime that will be aired during the season even if it doesn’t look promising. There have been a lot of shows that I dropped after taking a look, so it seems like I only stuck to the second seasons of the shows I already enjoyed such as Kekkai Sensen, Shouwa Genroku Rakugou Shinjuu or Hoozuki no Reitetsu. That’s why I wanted to pick my top three upon the newly aired shows.
Greetings everyone. I wanted to make a quick post about what I had in mind for quite a while because I realized I started enjoying short anime more and more than its longer peers and these three I’m going to mention really deserves recognition. The main point these three short anime have in common is that they all portray a very important picture: women in their daily lives.
Well, you’re still getting it. It appears that I’m on hiatus? Even though I have many works in progress, I always get greedy and start writing another thing. It really is a bad habit and I want to change that so I’m trying to hit the brakes, especially in the fanfiction area. I have a couple of multi-chapter stories and requests piling up along with the stress in real life. This is something I wrote in between, the least I can do is to post it here.
My next post here will be on fictional crushes and our engagement with fiction (I’ve read other bloggers’ posts on the matter and want to offer my opinion) and I’m doing academic reading on the subject, though it’s not a frequently covered topic. I’m not sure when, but I will definitely write about it in a lengthy post, I can promise that.
This time, I’ll be mentioning a mangaka that I’ve get to know through Twitter first, not from their scanlated works (strange enough) and they were so kind with replying the tweets, it was nice having small talk and obviously I loved their style, so I bought one of sensei’s works. Now its 3 chapters are scanlated! I’m talking about Gentei Kareshi by Yamasaki Uni.
A real life Bokuto Koutarou maybe? Kidding kidding.
I thought I would have problem with this one but the song came up to me pretty quickly.
